Denise Perron, CRHA, Groupe ÆQUITAS president
Ms Denise Perron has worked for more than 25 years in the field of pay equity and employment. Her high level of knowledge and skills over the years has made her a recognized expert on equity in Canada and internationally.
Since 2004 Ms Denise Perron has held the post of President with Groupe ÆQUITAS, an international consulting firm on pay equity, equal pay and employment. Groupe ÆQUITAS provides stakeholders involved in the application of the principle of equal remuneration with strategic and pragmatic advice and with an overview of employment issues allowing them to effectively manage any question on equity.
From April 1997 to May 2004, Denise Perron was Commissioner of the Pay Equity Commission of Quebec (Canada). Her appointment to this Commission is reflective of the confidence held by the private sector in her expertise on equity and compensation.
Denise Perron has worked for many years as an equity and compensation consultant for Willis Towers Watson, a global consulting firm specializing in compensation, actuarial and human resources management. Her primary responsibility was to advise clients on pay equity, and employment equity.
She completed her Community Politics and the Law graduate degree at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and her undergraduate studies in (Sociology) at the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Denise Perron has lived in and continues to work from several capitals around the world and provides expert advice on pay equity and employment equity in all regions of the world.
She has practiced ballet for several years and remains very attached to this discipline.
Denise Perron is married to Mr. Marcos Regis da Silva, formerly of McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and the United Nations (Geneva, Switzerland). He is now Executive Director of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (Montevideo, Uruguay).
